Job Description

Dresden Elementary School is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to inspire our students' musical journey. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive music program that builds fundamental skills while igniting a lifelong appreciation for music across diverse genres and cultural traditions. This is a 40% position. 

Dresden Elementary School is a vibrant PreK-5 learning community serving approximately 73 students. Our small size allows us to provide individualized attention and create a close-knit environment where every child and teacher is known and valued.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must hold (or be eligible to hold) the required certification/endorsement - Maine K-12 Music Teacher Certification (614)
  • Must hold current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification 

Start Date: August, 2025 

Salary: Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the wage scale in the 2024-25 Teachers Collective Bargaining Agreement:  40% of full-time salary: $17,038.92 (BA/step 1) - $31,252.28 (MA+15/step 22) (Step 1).The complete contract year is 182 days.                                                (Note: 2025-28 CBA is currently being negotiated.)
