Job Description

We're searching for a motivated team player with outstanding business skills to be the next Area Director of Sales and Marketing. You'll be in charge of developing a revenue management strategy to maximize profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. This dynamic leader is the voice of our brand and manages the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. The Area DOSM will oversee the sales efforts of the Bay Valley Resort & Conference Center, Four Seasons Island Resort, and Pine Mountain Ski & Golf Resort. Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies
  • Assess the company's success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders
  • Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
  • Generate new business while also increasing customer loyalty by cultivating long-term relations with patrons
  • Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other methods
Qualifications:
  • This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality being preferred
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and best practices
  • Minimum of 5 or more years experience in sales and marketing with some experience in sales management
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hotel and or Resort sales background
  • DOSM and or multi-unit sales experience
  • Ability to travel
