Job Description

Tax Analysts is looking for a Junior Business Systems Analyst/Developer to join our team.

In this role, you'll support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and integration of our NetSuite ERP/CRM platform. You'll collaborate across departments to implement new business processes, build analytics dashboards in Domo, and contribute to system improvements that drive the effectiveness of our organization.

We're seeking someone who’s curious, collaborative, and eager to grow. This person will help us stay ahead of the curve by evaluating emerging technologies and identifying tools that support our evolving business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Actively engage in learning opportunities, peer code reviews, and mentoring sessions with the lead analyst to deepen knowledge of systems and business operations.
  2. Determine the best approach to identify, coordinate, and implement business requirements using NetSuite forms, SuiteScript, web services, and other relevant tools.
  3. Support the maintenance and enhancement of existing processes and integrations between NetSuite, HubSpot, and other platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow.
  4. Support senior team members in end-user support, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution. Monitor and maintain system security in alignment with company policies.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input on projects. Support work queues for development tasks, and communicate project status and updates to the development team, business stakeholders, and peers through Agile processes.
  6. Assist in the creation and optimization of dashboards and operational reports, providing valuable insights from ERP/CRM data using tools like Domo, NetSuite, or similar platforms for managers, stakeholders, and executives.
  7. Maintain and audit data pipelines and processes to ensure data integrity and consistency in analytics.
  8. Create and maintain documentation of projects, processes, and system configurations, ensuring clarity for current and future reference.
  9. Effectively communicate project status, concerns, and risks to the lead, ensuring transparency and proper tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Participate in integrity testing and risk assessments of system upgrades before new version releases. Assist in making system adjustments to ensure integrity upon go-live.
  11. Look for opportunities to collaborate with the team to improve and optimize systems, data processes, application interoperability, and automation.
  12. Other duties may be assigned to meet the organization’s objectives. 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite and HubSpot, and their functionalities in business process automation and system management.
  • Demonstrated capability in SuiteScript, JavaScript, web services, and REST APIs for integration and automation of processes within the ERP/CRM systems.
  • Ability to independently research solutions, troubleshoot problems, and quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Experience working across various aspects of ERP/CRM systems, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of supporting platforms or services such as Transact-SQL and Cognito.
  • Well-organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Embraces change and demonstrates a positive attitude while ensuring successful task completion.
  • Experience in integrating data into Business Intelligence (BI) platforms like Domo, Google Looker, Microsoft (BI), and developing reports and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and effectively debug issues to ensure smooth system operations and performance.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, collaborating with internal staff from across the organization to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience working as a full stack developer with the ability to handle both front-end and back-end tasks.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, 2 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • 1+ years of experience developing or administering ERP/CRM systems, preferably with NetSuite and supporting tools.
  • 1+ years of experience in administering and/or developing with NetSuite, along with experience working with supporting applications and systems.
  • Exposure to supporting business functions such as accounting, marketing, or B2B sales is a plus.
