Scientist, Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology

We have an opening for a talented Scientist 1 to join our Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology (BCP) Department within the Research and Early Development organization. This is a hands-on, laboratory based position. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for developing, validating and executing innovative biochemical and cellular assays to support small molecule drug discovery projects. The candidate will work closely with BCP Scientists and may collaborate with other functional areas including Structural Biology, Chemistry and Cheminformatics

Who You Are

Completed MS in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field, with 1-2 years of wet-lab experience in academia or biotechnology
Experience with mammalian cell culture and biochemical assays
Excellent teamwork, communication, time management, and organizational skills

Additional desirable skills

Experience with cell based fluorescent and luminescent assays
Experience with recombinant protein /protein interaction assays is a plus
Practical experience in the design, development, validation and execution of experiments while not required, is highly desired
Familiarity with data analysis methods and software, including automated dose-response measurements, is advantageous
Familiarity with automated or semi-automated instrumentation

Pay Rate Range: $30-40/hr depending on experience
